Artist Incubator

Berklee Revelation Records (BRR) is accepting submissions for our Fall 2026 - Spring 2027 Artist Incubator. This year we are looking to partner with an artist who will receive a record services deal to release two (2) original songs. The selected artist will maintain ownership of their music, while receiving critical support in the recording, release, and marketing of their music.
Interested applicants are asked to submit two (2) original song examples. Examples are meant to give us a picture of your sound and aesthetic. These songs can be previously released or unreleased demos. Give us the best examples of your artistry. If selected, the songs released in partnership with BRR must be exclusively released with us.

Whether just getting started, or you’ve established some momentum we are looking for artists who have a strong vision for their music and need the support of a team to execute that vision

Guidelines for this year's submission:
-
Must be able to distribute their own music (support finding a DSP will be provided if you currently don’t have one)

Two (2) songs/demos must be submitted
-
Length of each demo/song should not exceed 5 minutes each
-
All submissions must be an original composition by the artists/collaborators (composers/songwriters retain all rights)
-
Artists maintain majority ownership of each released song at a 80% (Artist), 20% (BRR) split of the Sound Recording
-
Any future decision making of the licensing, distribution, or placement of the Sound Recording of each released song to be maintained by the Artist

Artist responsible for registration of all royalty collection agencies (with support from the BRR team)

Artists must be currently enrolled at Berklee or Berklee at Boston Conservatory during the Spring 2027 semester on the Boston campus.

If selected, the two (2) original songs created must be exclusively released in partnership with BRR

Songs are to be submitted via an accessible link (dropbox, google drive, Soundcloud, etc.), or must be in mp3 format
-
Any submissions links must give access to revelationrecords@berklee.edu (any submission not made accessible to us will be disqualified)

Submission form must be completed in full to be considered

Must be available for BRR Spring show tentatively in April 2027 (6pm - 9pm)

Must be available to attend meetings regarding projects throughout the Spring semester

Availability to meet for PM-241: Label Management class during the Spring 2027 an added benefit, but not required. Date's to be determined.

Expectations of BRR Artists:
-
Current status as a Berklee College of Music student in good standing required. You must have a 2.7 GPA.

All students will be held accountable to the Berklee Student Code of Conduct

Level of performance/compositional/musical integrity

Quality of demo unimportant—Logic, ProTools, etc. is fine, but the recording must be a clear mp3. However, if you have a professional sounding recording, we'll take it!

Upon selection, Artist must sign an agreement to confirm participation in the BRR Incubator
